One of his collections “American Also,” literally collides the two worlds of fashion and and social injustices that we as “black” people face in America.
“We as African American man, don’t necessarily feel American” is a quote he stated in the interview with HighSnobiety.
I believe his perspective as a Designer will not only add but shed light on the many contributions that we as the “black” community bring to this country. We feel as if we don’t belong here but we’ve BEEN here.
Kerby Jean-Raymond has partnered with Reebok to bring forth a defying, creative, vintage but futuristic look to the fashion world.
