Lil’ Nas X, when I first heard his name I thought; who is this kid proclaiming the legacy filled name of the Great “NAS.”
But with the number one song in the world “Old Town Road”, remaining steady on the top 100 Billboard Charts, I believe its safe to say “Lil Nas X is creating a legacy of his own.
“Old Town Road”, is classified as a Country song, which was also number one on the Billboard Top Country charts as well until it was recently removed. Critics say that it’s not real country music which followed in a removal of the #1 position on the Billboard Top Country.
There has been quite a ruckus over this, “Billy Ray Cyrus” took to Twitter with said statement “I thought, it’s honest, humble, and has an infectious hook, and a banjo. What the hell more do ya need?”
I personally hear a country, of course a country song that may change the sound of country forever but every music genre has to move forward in time. Take a listen below and tell us what you think.
